Classification


The turtles are oviparous, they're reproduced for eggs, exist different species that are adapted to their habitat particular, and so we have several turtles:
  • Marine
  • Terrestrial
  •  Freshwater




Marine: The family of the turtles is conformed for 2 species: Cholonoiidae and Dermochelyidae, that include 7 turtle's species:

  • Green sea turtle
  • Leatherback sea turtle
  • Flatback sea turtle
  • Hawksbill sea turtle
  • Olive ridley sea turtle
  • Loggerhead sea turtle
  • Kem'p ridley sea turtle 

Terrestrial: The most of turtles are vegetarian and their higher part of the time are in zone terrestrial, dry,hot , they have feet flat and big, as of elephant for walk best in the ground and a shell big.The family of the turtles terrestrial are very extensive. I will talk about 7 species:

  • Biting Turtle
  • Angled Turtle 
  • Morrocoy Turtle
  • Motelo Turtles
  • Mediterranean Turtle
  • Patagonian turtle
  • Indian Starry turtle

Freshwater: These turtles are semi-aquatic, they are littles and with shell more flattened for the adaptation of their life aquatic, some are omnivores, others carnivores and herbivores; They are more aggressive and with movements most fast in the ground than the turtles terrestrial, their legs have membranes that used for swim better.

I will talk about 5 species of fresh water turtle:

  • Cayman Turtle
  • Loggerhead Turtle
  • Jicotea elegant Turtle
  • Flatback Turtle
  • Oriental Canaleta Turtle
