General Characteristics

Fromed by the family of the reptiles sauropsidas, they have a body broad and short and a shell that protects the organ  internal of their.The head, the legs and the tail go out of your shell. they have a hibernation period that start when the temp is cold, is a defensive mechanism natural that makes to sleep and consumed energy and vitamins. they  prefer the hot and light.

The turtles are very different by their habitat, and each one can have different ages.For example the marine turtles can live until 100 years.The terrestrial turtles can live 50 years until 80 years. And the freshwater  turtle  can live 25 years until 40 years. This depends of the care that we give., if they are in captivity, or they are as our pets or they are simply in their habitat.
